Interesting page, but I don't know at least 50% of all the programs. Wouldn't it make sense to add a little section describing what these programs do?

I am very sure I would use more of these programs if I knew what the heck they do :)

Good idea, I'll look at including some information about the programs on each page.

[edit] Date in titles

I suggest that a create and last update date be included with titles. In this way it is easy to see how current the information is before reading it.
